Senator Kennedy–An Imperfect Man Who Accomplished Great Things

I have been reading today about the death of Senator Edward Kennedy. One writer talked about how Kennedy was constantly struggling to be a better person. Another talked about him as a great man, a man whose personal life may often have been a mess but his business life was clear.

I think about how we struggle for perfection. Senator Kennedy was not a perfect man. Looking back at the long list of legislation he authored and helped pass, his legacy is a great one. Why do we struggle so hard to achieve perfection when being our best can take us so far?

Our thoughts go out to the Kennedy Family.
