Perfection Leaves No Room for Improvement

I started out trying to sell cards with some mediocre photography. Since that time, it has improved to above average.

I had mediocre skills with Photoshop Elements and design. Now they are above average.

I look back on what I was creating and think it’s horrible. People continue to buy it over some of the items I think are better though. I find that interesting.

Now I look at some of what I do and I am almost embarrassed by the beginnings. However, without the beginnings I would never have gotten here.

I think that perhaps in another year or two I will look at what I am doing now as pretty average and be embarrassed by what I am doing now. However, it’s very good, by my standards now. If I didn’t start before, would I start here now? I can only get better.

We see these improvements in work when we are learning. It is really too bad we can’t always see how far we have come in life as well. We really need to reflect more on that.

We are always improving and refining. Sometimes that is the fun part, but only if we let it be that way.
