Energetic Importance of Happy Food

It’s hard to know what is good for you. Acupuncture theory discusses many different energies that the body needs. We can balance many of these energies by making proper food choices.

Good food is different for each person. However, all good food is typically no more processed than you would process in your home. The food is raised humanely so that it had a good life, whether that food is an animal or a plant. Energy from a plant or animal that is happy, doing what it needs to do and serving that function is far better than energy from an animal that is terrified. Our local farmer makes a choice to take his cows a bit farther because he knows the butcher and knows that they will be slaughtered humanely there, with a minimum of fear.

Air and food are two ways in which we replenish the energy we expend. In that sense the energy of the food is important. Emotions are energy and that makes me wonder are we are all so afraid now days because the cows and chickens we raise are terrified all their lives? Are we all so depressed because the animals from which we get meat are so unhappy in their lives?

I understand that all these things are also related to various enzymes. However, things change on an energetic level before they get to a measurable level in the body. Is our health so poor because of how we treat the creatures we raise for food?

We all need to consider where we get our food. I know my farmer and I know he does his best to make sure his cows are happy. I am looking around to find a small farmer for chickens. I know my dairy. All do a great job on making sure my food lives well until I am ready to eat it. I believe I am healthier for it.
